Responsibilities/Qualifications

Drees Homes is looking for candidates for a Co-Op position for the Spring 2025 semester for our Cincinnati/NKY area communities. This Co-Op Program is designed to give students hands-on experience in construction management, enhancing their understanding of the construction process and project execution. The program will run for four months, following the UC academic schedule. Each student will be paired with a mentor from their department who will provide guidance, support, and feedback throughout the program. Regular check-ins between the student and mentor will occur, and performance evaluations will be conducted by mentors and supervisors at the end of the program.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the progress and quality of all jobs under construction. 
  • Set and maintain high standards of performance by subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Control costs by managing material usage.
  • Assist with project scheduling, coordination, and documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings and progress tracking.

Requirements:

  • Current undergraduate students in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completion of foundational coursework – must be entering Junior or Senior year.
  • Commitment of two semesters

The schedule of this position is typically Monday- Friday 8am-5pm, with flexibility for academic commitments if necessary.
