First Equity Mortgage, a subsidiary of Drees Homes, is seeking candidates for a Mortgage Loan Processor position. If you enjoy customer service and the satisfaction of assisting home buyers achieve their new home dreams this may be the opportunity you have been looking for!

The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for quality customer service while handling the processing of loans from start to finish.  In this position, you will communicate with customers and vendors, and be able to manage an increasing pipeline of loans.

We are seeking individuals who have the skills to process a variety of loan products, who are detailed, accurate, organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. 

Responsibilities include:

• Analyze bank statements and source funds for down payment
• Calculate a wide range of income such as job, retirement and self-employment
• Pre-underwriting loan files
• Communicate with borrowers to collect required documents
• Communicate with Loan Officers on file status
• Communicate with Vendors regarding insurance and flood
• Maintain a history of work flow within the mortgage system
• Present a clear and concise summary of borrower's information to underwrite
• Work with underwriters to resolve conditions
• Manage a pipeline and meeting deadlines

Requirements include:

• Strong customer service focus
• Conventional mortgage loan processing experience
  
• Government loan processing FHA/VA/USDA a plus
• Knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac lending guidelines
• Knowledge of government loan (FHA/VA) lending guidelines a plus
• Knowledge of Automated Underwriting Systems (LP and DU)
• Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize work load
• Must be able to meet certain credit criteria for this position
• Must be able to work full time in our Fort Mitchell, KY office
