Responsibilities/Qualifications

First Equity Mortgage, a subsidiary of Drees Homes, is seeking a Processing Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for processing mortgage loans in a timely manner while providing professional, prompt, and courteous service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain any license required by regulatory agencies to perform the job along with continuing education hours needed to maintain the license
  • Process loans according to First Equity procedures including gathering documentation, ordering 3rd party supporting documentation, submission of loans to underwriting and clearing any quality control or closing conditions
  • Underwrite appraisals for accuracy
  • Submit fully processed loans ready to underwriting within timing requirements
  • Submit approved loans to closing
  • Assist with clearing conditions on loans suspended by investors
  • Various other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Mortgage lending and loan processing experience
  • Conventional and government loan knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through to a satisfactory conclusion
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Encompass helpful
  • Must be organized, detail-minded and adaptable
  • Upbeat, positive, can-do attitude
