    We are seeking candidates for the position of Operations Manager in our Nashville, TN Division. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing the purchasing, contract administration, estimating and accounts payable. In addition, responsibilities include the coordination of sales, construction, and administrative functions on the Division level while performing all costing, estimating, pricing, and analysis of applicable Division products.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage supplier and subcontractor administration, including cost analysis, negotiation, coordination, and contract execution
    • Perform regular cost analysis and review of existing and new plans for cost effectiveness and proper use of construction details, systems and materials
    • Supervise the activities of the Estimators, Accounts Payable, and the Design Center employees
    • Ensure profitability of Division sales dollars through accurate and timely review of pricing of all Division products
    • Ensure that all accounts payable are processed within payment dates and terms, including invoices that carry a payment discount or late payment penalty

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Strong technical skills, including costing systems, centralized accounting/PO systems, etc.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate an experienced team
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, JD Edwards and the use of an iPad
    • Self motivated, assertive and and driven to succeed; results oriented
    • High level of personal and professional integrity
    • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills; able to see the big picture and manage the full scope of purchasing, costing, pricing, and start of homes


    • College Degree in related field required
    • Previous experience with purchasing, estimating and cost control
    • 3 - 5 years Construction/Homebuilding experience preferred
