    First Equity Mortgage, a subsidiary of Drees Homes, is seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant position. As the mortgage lending arm of Drees Homes, First Equity Mortgage has been financing new home construction for more than 30 years.


    We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop knowledge of the mortgage loan business while providing administrative support to our team.


    Some responsibilities of this position include -

    • Answer the switchboard and direct calls appropriately
    • Open and distribute mail
    • Track, scan and forward loan documents to end investors
    • Monitor all delinquent trailing documents
    • Run daily and weekly reports
    • Create, register and transfer closed and purchased loans in MERS
    • Assist in producing daily, weekly and monthly Crystal, Excel and Customer Service reports
    • Assist Accounting in various responsibilities
    • Additional administrative tasks to support all departments of First Equity Mortgage

    Requirements include: 

    • Previous office experience
    • Mortgage, banking or accounting knowledge or experience
    • Strong computers skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be detail-minded and have the ability to stay organized in a busy work environment
    • Numbers oriented/strong math aptitude and/or basic accounting knowledge
    • Experience working with imaged documents is helpful
    • Strong customer service focus with both internal and external customers
