    Drees Homes is seeking friendly and professional applicants for a Design Consultant position for our Raleigh Division.


    Our Design Center is the one-stop resource for homebuyers to choose distinctive finishes that make their home completely unique.


    This is a great opportunity for an interior design grad to use their education, administrative and customer service skills while learning in the homebuilding industry.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure timely scheduling and completion of selections with the homebuyer
    • Assist and guide customers through the selections process
    • System maintenance, data entry and tracking of various information related to the selection process
    • Coordinate with other Drees employees and vendors to resolve any contract issues or questions related to the selections process,pricing and/or construction process
    • Maintenance of product information and displays in the design center showroom
    • Design exterior and interior selections for market homes and build to order customer selections
    • Responsible for the overall satisfaction of the buyer's experience through the selection process


    Some requirements include: 

    • Bachelor's degree required, in related field preferred
    • One-on-one work experience with buyers in a structured setting
    • Previous design experience
    • Basic understanding of building materials and a good color sense
    • Must have a basic understanding of and the ability to read of floor plans and construction drawings
    • A friendly/outgoing personality who will strive to deliver excellent customer service
    • Ability to drive appointments to finalization withing a given time frame
    • Ability to remain flexible and patient during the customer decision making process
    • Must have strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented
    • Good computer skills including must be proficient in Excel
    • Knowledge or experience with Bluebeam or related software, helpful
    • Availability for Saturday work hours


    Typical hours are 8-5, Monday - Friday with rotating Saturday hours (Typically 1 or 2 Saturdays per month). Must be able to work Wednesday evenings and Saturdays.
