    Responsibilities/Qualifications

    We are looking for candidates for the position of Estimator working out of our Division office location in Jacksonville, FL.   

     

    In this position, you will be responsible for performing costing, estimating, pricing, and cost analysis of home products and bill of materials. 

     

     Some Responsibilities include: 

    • Maintain data for the purpose of providing accurate base house budgets
    • Complete job estimates timely and accurately allowing for on time job starts
    • Create and price all custom design requests
    • Assist the Permit Coordinator in early phase permit needs
    • Update and maintain vendor and subcontract files
    • Analyze field purchase orders to ensure proper payment and up to date job costs
    • Communicate with management regarding cost control issues
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 

    • Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced level skills in Excel
    • Previous experience in residential homebuilding
    • College degree in related field of study
    • Experience in bid analysis, purchasing and procurement
    • Experience with BlueBeam, On Screen Takeoff and/or JD Edwards
    • Ability to read and redline blueprints as well as construct cost estimates
    • Experience conducting bid analysis, purchasing and procurement
    • Analytical, detail-minded, team oriented and a good communicator (internal and external customers)
    • Ability to work in a technology driven, fast-paced environment

    Applicants possessing some or all of the above listed knowledge and skills will be considered.  We are willing to train the right individual.

     

    The schedule of this position will be Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM plus additional hours as necessary. 

     

    Excellent hourly rate plus a comprehensive benefits package including profit sharing and 401(k).
