    Design Assistant

    We are seeking candidates for a Design Assistant position to work in our Design Center located in Manassas, VA.


    Our Design Center is the one-stop resource for homebuyers to choose distinctive finishes that make their home completely unique.


    In this position, you will ensure timely scheduling and completion of final selections and provide assistance during the selections process.


    Responsibilities include -

    • Assist buyers during the "Browsing Hours" by greeting customers, answering questions regarding included features and design, and conducting general previews
    • Provide customers with available options and pricing in the Design Center
    • Assist Design Consultants with maintaining and updating selection information ensuring model numbers, pricing and displays are current with vendor specifications
    • Help maintain selection sheet templates with up to date with model numbers, colors, etc. as they are revised or changes
    • Ensure all model numbers, pricing and displays are up to date
    • Answer phone calls, general administrative and clerical duties
    • Provide excellent service to our customers


    Requirements include -

    • Must have superior customer service skills
    • Experience in a design-related field and/or with a homebuilder would be ideal
    • Good computer skills including working knowledge of Excel and Word
    • Experience or strong interest in interior design
    • Must be organized, persistent with follow through and ability to meet deadlines
    • Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to exercise patience with customers
    • Basic ability to read house plans a real plus

    Work schedule includes varied hours Monday - Friday and 4 hours on Saturdays.
