Drees Homes is seeking friendly and professional applicants for a Design Consultant position in our Dallas Division.  Our Design Center is located in our Irving, TX office.


Our Design Center is the one-stop resource for homebuyers to choose distinctive finishes that make their home completely unique.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to use your interior design degree, administrative and customer service skills in the homebuilding industry.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist and guide customers through the selections process
  • Data entry and various other administrative duties related to the selection process
  • Interact with pricing personnel to ensure timely completion of custom design requests
  • Maintenance of the design center showroom
  • Design exterior and interior selections for market homes
  • Responsible for the overall satisfaction of the buyer's experience through the selection process


Some requirements include: 

  • One-on-one work experience with buyers in a structured setting
  • Experience working with a homebuilder and/or previous design experience working directly with customers, preferred
  • Basic understand of building materials
  • Must have a good color sense and the basic ability to read house plans
  • A friendly/outgoing personality who will strive to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to remain flexible and patient during the customer decision making process
  • Interior Design degree a plus
  • Must have strong organizational skills and with strong attention to details
  • Good computer skills including working knowledge in Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills are a must
  • Ability to succeed in a deadline driven environment


Typical work schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8-5.
